GENERAL REGISTRATION DETAILS

Attendees will arrange their own flights to DC. Registration fees cover lodging, meals, and ground transportation. For local leaders that join, there is a separate registration fee that only includes your meals and ground transportation.

Arrival Time

Attendees should arrive in DC by mid-late afternoon on Monday, Oct. 23.

HOTEL
We will be staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Washington DC – Crystal City. Check in time is at 4:00 p.m., but early check-in is available for early arrivals on a space available basis. Check out time is at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25. NCS will handle the room registrations for attendees as you complete your registration information.
WELCOME RECEPTION – Monday, Oct. 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Dolly Oberoi and Curtis Cox, C2 Technologies, Inc., are opening their Georgetown home to co-host a reception for us. We will enjoy an evening of networking with appetizers and cocktails. Transportation will be provided as part of your registration.

Tuesday Agenda
BREAKFAST – Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 7:30 to 9:00

We’ll begin our day with a group breakfast in a private room at the hotel. During breakfast we’ll present the activities and details of our meeting objectives, strategy, and we will discuss the Congressional Members or staff that we are scheduled to meet.

CAPITOL HILL ACTIVITIES

Our intent is to meet with Congressional Members from Florida and Members/staff from the Modeling & Simulation Caucus. In advance of our trip, we will provide each attendee with more information about our key messages, as well as Congressional Member and staff biographies.

LUNCH

We’ll break up the day by having lunch together as a group. More to come on location.

Dinner

We’ll finish up our meetings on the Hill and then head back to the hotel to freshen up before dinner. Our evening meal will be at Fort Myer, Patton Hall! Transportation from the hotel and back will be coordinated for you.

Wednesday Agenda
Breakfast

A group breakfast is planned in a private room at the hotel.

Day’s Activities

Today our meetings will come to us! We will host some special speakers from the government (tentatively the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Space Force, Department of Energy, and a couple of guest speakers yet to be announced).

After breakfast, we will move into our meetings. We’ll provide time during the morning session for everyone to check out of their rooms and store their bags for departure later in the day.

LUNCH

We’ll wrap up the day and our first NCS-led advocacy trip with lunch. We’ll coordinate transportation to/from lunch. After lunch, we head back to the hotel to conclude our first Capitol Hill Connection, then take home great memories of our accomplishments and time together.

DEPARTURE

We suggest a flight later in the afternoon so you can fully participate in Wednesday’s activities.
